8 Miles

The Saturday of Memorial Day weekend I got the idea that I wanted to walk from Harpers Ferry to Shepherdstown down the C & O Canal. We decided not to take that particular walk, much to my dismay, but went for a long walk anyways. We walked a little over eight miles. Four plus one way and then back. It was so much fun it was blissful. It took a little over three hours and the boys walked about seven of the miles. The wonderful things were the boys not fighting and no one complained or didn't like the lunch I made. Jeremy is a treasure trove of knowledge I never stop learning when he talks to the boys and me. It was so beautiful. Kaylee walked some but for the most part sat in the stroller and sang. I loved it. It was great family time.

I Look Like My Daddy

I found this picture of Jeremy and it reminded me so much of JJ. I had to share.

Kaylee

Kaylee is growing so fast. I feel as though I could see her growing if I just stopped and looked at her. She is talking so much and making new sounds. Last week she learned how to make raspberries. She is no longer just walking and running but jumping, going up and down the stairs and tormenting her brothers. She loves to play with her dolls and pets theirs heads and sings them songs.

Lately (JJ)

I am sorry that I have not blogged lately. I have been very busy with end of the year activities for the boys and beginning of summer fun. JJ has done very well in school. Since mothers day I have been in his class at least two days a week. JJ's school had a Mothers Day Tea Party and it was a lot of fun. He stood in front of his whole class and proclaimed that tea is bad and we don't drink tea.

The next week there was a Daddy Donut Day. Jeremy went and had fun. Then there was JJ's graduation. I wish I could say it was a fun time but that all ended as soon as we got our food. I will admit the food was awful. One thing you have to know about JJ is his eating practices are horrible. He will not eat a thing that touche other food, so no casseroles. He also won't eat pasta. He is great about eating vegetable, fruits and meats. The most picky thing by far is that he will not eat anything unless it is really hot or really cold. So on with my story. We got there and had to wait in line. By the time we got our food the food was cold and they didn't have the chips he wanted. Than a very nice woman across the table kept trying to get him to try the food even though it was cold. JJ didn't like that and threw his food at the nice woman. I was shocked to say the least and furious. I got a trash can and threw his food away after apologizing profusly. This started another mess because Jaedon was upset I threw JJs food away. This was accompanied with screaming and fit throwing and me throwing away the rest of the food and leaving to go to the car. We didn't stay for the awards ceremony.

This week. JJ's class had an I read 100 books party. All the kids got Popsicles and wafer cookies. JJ thought it was the greatest and has asked me if we can have another party if he read 100 more books. three down and 97 to go.

Sitting on the couch

Today I went out to play. We played baseball and ran very very hard. Then I came in the house. Mommy washed my face and hands and let me sit on the couch. Just didn't quite make...

6 and 1/4 Inches

His hair is 6 1/4 inches long.

Rainy Day

What can be better than playing at the library when it is raining outside? Nothing. We had so much fun. We played with the puzzles, looked at all the fish, read books, and played ice cream baseball. We read a giant book about the woman who swallowed a fly. Than I sang them the song and we had a good laugh. The fish were very fun. one of them was lop sided. Than we played ice cream baseball with a local organization. It turns out you don't get to hit ice cream with a baseball bat but you get an ice cream treat if you try.

Back to Chick-Fil-A

We went to the playground at Chick-Fil-A the other day and all I could think about was what it was like when I used take the kids and Kaylee could only sit there and play with me. Now She climb up the stairs and play with her brothers and in this case she chased them like a lion saying ROAR!!!
