Hair Cuts

Let me tell you a little story from my childhood. It was Christmas eve. I was three or four years old. My mother had a friend over and told her that I needed a hair cut. Later that night my mother was wrapping Christmas Presents and had to leave for some reason. She set the scissors down and left the room. That's when I decided to help my mom an cut my hair. I put the scissors next to my head right above my ear an bam bald spot. I remember trying to help my mom and her reactions after wards and I have seen all the pictures taken from the left side (I cut the right side). I guess that's why I had this coming. Traditionally we take Christmas card photos this weekend. Yesterday I took JJ and Jaedon over to a friend of mines house and she watched them for a few hours so I could go visit some friends without my kids. Well apparently Kaylee fell asleep and she took her upstairs to put her in the crib she has. When she came downstairs nothing seemed different so life went on. The boys were really good and had a lot of fun. I didn't notice anything either until I saw another friend of mine in the grocery store and she told me all about how her daughter recently cut her hair as well. Sometimes I'm a little naive and told her Jaedons hair was just curly. To my amazement, upon closer inspection I discovered she was right. JJ and his friend Sam gave Jaedon scissors so he could have a hair cut.

Sunday Dinner

We had a family dinner on Sunday. Dad and Becke and Matt and Sarah came over. I had a lot fun and really enjoyed myself. So did Kaylee. She picked out her own dinner. It took some time but she found the right one.

Treats

Jaedon is finally potty training, lets hope it goes better than JJ, and yesterday Jaedon used the potty twice which deserves a special treat. When I asked him what he wanted he told me he waned to play at the playground. It was raining cats and dogs so we went to Chick-fil-a which has an indoor playground. We all had a great time.

and when we got tired we layed down to take a nap. Then mom said it was time to go home. It was so much fun.

Home with Mom

Staying at home with Mom can sometimes be hard. I have to be the big brother and the one in charge. I start by getting myself dressed. It takes a while but I do a great job.

Than its time to brush my hair and help Kaylee too. I'm the big brother you know.

I have some errands to run around town. It will be fun. I'll do most of the driving.

I always have time to help other people.

I share some stickers with my sister.

But don't worry I always have time to stop and smell the roses, or in this case the day lilies.

Its hard to be the big brother but I love my time home with Mom.

Fun at the Fire House

Thursday we went to the Fire Station for preschool. We prepared by doing fire and safety drills and Sister Brown even set her driveway on fire. The children were all really excited and had a lot of fun as well. First they got to see the fire man put on all of his fire gear on and then we got to play on the inside of the fire truck. That was a ball and I got some good pictures of it also.

Everyone Wears Undewear

JJ had some inspiration today while I was volunteering at school. In JJ's class there is a bathroom that has two toilets. Boys are allowed to go in with boys and girls are allowed in with girls but not boys with girls. JJ was using the bathroom when a little girl couldn't hold it and ran into the bathroom with JJ. I am glad he is so innocent because he came running out of he bathroom and yells to me "Hey Mom Destiny wears underwear." He was so excited. I was embarrassed and thought it was cute so I calmly explained that everyone wears underwear. He proudly turned to Alyssa and asked her if she wore underwear which prompted her to tell the whole class that she had princess underwear and JJ to scream with excitement that everyone wears underwear just like him. I glad he is so innocent and that is what he took away from the experience and I hope it will keep his excitement for changing his underwear in the future.

Guess What

Guess What. Im going to be an Aunt. Justin and Amanda (Jeremy's brother and wife) are having a baby. We are so excited for them and all the joy and love yet to come.

Trunk or Treat

I know its a lot of pictures but we had so much fun dressng up and Trunk or Treating two nights in a row. I made a wig out of yarn for Kaylee and called her a baby doll. T the boys were both knights in shining armor. JJ is wearing the silver and Jaedon the gold.
