Playing outside

66 degrees

Today was gorgeous. 66 degrees and just a hint of wind. There is still snow on the ground as you can see but not enough to detour basking in this wonderful warm weather. We went outside to play. The kids played and rode bikes. I love good weather! Yesterday I weeded, raked and mulched, so today I sat out, read a book and enjoyed the sun. I don't even mind the sun burn. JJ has been excited to be outside and ride in his truck. Jaedon is beginning to really get the hang of ridding his bike and turning around without falling, something we were unable to do last year. Kaylee is ridding a tricycle this year. She can only go in a strait line and then has to get off to turn around. I love it it take about five minutes but she always seems so happy after.

Camping with Daddy

I know these photos are a little old but I like them anyways. Jeremy took the boys camping in August. They had fun and were extremely tierd afterwards.

A Christmas Present for My Mom

Last November as the Christmas season started Jeremy was really missing his mother. After time and love he decided to grow his hair out in honor of her and his sister Laura. He started then and has been growing it for a year and a half. Today I measured it and it finally reached 10 inches (the length needed to donate to Locks for Love). We went and he got it cut. Ten inches off. I am so glad that he had the dedication to wait and donate. HE DID IT!!!

Snow Day

One of our favorite place to go on a snow day is the library. Yesterday was a snow day so can you guess where we went? First we went for a drive in search of a great view jeremy told me about on his way to work. I don't know if you can see it but the trees are frosted over with snow and ice. Simply beautiful. Then we went to the library. First thing was noticing Jaedon had no shirt on under his jacket only a vest. Whan I asked him where his shirt was (I know I out one on him) he replied by saying "I'm a cowboy baby" with a fake country accent and everything. Daddys like of Kid Rock is rubbing off. Then we had fun. We put together some puzzles and I read them a couple of books. Then JJ and I read "The Cat in the Hat" together. I was worried because our volume kept getting higher and higher as the story went on until the librian came over so she could hear the story as well. Then JJ read us a Hhandy Manny book and we went home. Perfect day!

Like a Little Child

Today we went to lunch at McDonald's. It is one of the newer one with a large TV tuned into CNN. JJ started watching TV and asking lots of questions about the shooting in AZ. They replayed some of the speech given by Obama last night encouraging us to live our lives for the little girl who can no longer liver hers. I felt touched by the thought but I was unaware how much it was touching JJ as well. After it was over JJ said to me "I know you don't like Obama very much but I think he's right. Can we do something for the little girl." I was surprised he knows my political views and glad he is starting to understand what is going on by watching the news. So i asked him what he wanted to do for the little girl. My heart melted when he told me he wanted to give the little girl all of his birthday money and two of his toys. I started crying. We made a compromise and hes going to donate two of his toys and write letters to everyone hurt in the shooting. I is days like today that I understand what Christ meant by being like a little child. Not being ignorant of whats going on but learning what we can and opening our hearts to those around us. I love my kids and don't know where I would be without them.
