We went for face painting JJ ended up with a car on his hand.

Animals

We went to the summer reading kick off at our local library. There was lots of things to do and one of the was play with the animals. They included a hedge hog, a really gross wolf spider, a parrot ans a snake. The kids got to touch and hold all of them they thought it was great. I must admit I liked everything but the spider.

Free Jam

I like to make my own jams and preserves. The other day I made two jars for free and this is how I did it. While we were hiking up Maryland Heights we came across a mulberry tree and Jeremy and the kids had a few to eat. No I didn't go back to Maryland heights but I did drive by a tree in my neighborhood. Early this week the kids and I walked up to the neighbors house and asked them if we could pick the mulberries. They thought it was great. "Less clean up" were the words she used. Then We came home ate some and I turned the rest into Jam. Yay free jam!!!

Happy Fathers Day

Today is Fathers Day! We have had a great day. We slept in and made breakfast for Jeremy. Biscuits and gravy with eggs over easy. It was nice. Everyone was up earlier then him so we really ran around him while he ate but it was enjoyable still the same. This evening we went over to Ricks house and had a nice family dinner. I made Hamburger helper. I haven't had that since I was growing up as a child. It was nice. Not something I want to do very often but we liked it still the same. It was a little damp so we didn't enjoy the outside which is something we like to do at Sunday dinners but we sat at the table a long time and had great and sometimes inappropriate conversation. Jeremy is the greatest instigator. I think he does it to get a rise out of me and shock the people around him. Had a great time and now relaxing and watching Jeremy play a video game. That has always been one of my favorite things to do with Jeremy but its been months since we've had time to do so. I sincerely hope everyone else has had a wonderful Fathers Day and we thing about wonderful fathers all year long. I love you Jeremy.

Playing Soccer

The boys are very excited they are playing soccer this year. We just signed them up!!! Yea!!! They are going to have so much fun. We start the season in August and I runs until next June. So excited. Jeremy is going to be volunteering and helping set up the goals and posts and I am going to be team Mom. So excited and I know the boys are going to love it.

Chess

Jeremy Has really taken a liking to chess lately and improving his game. Here is one game he is particularly proud of.

Maryland Heights

We hiked to Maryland Hieghts on Memorial Day. It was so much fun. It was really hard but we all felt better in the end. Kaylee walked and hiked about 99% of the way up there and about 80% on the way down. JJ hiked the whole thing and Jaedon hiked about 90% only hampered by fall on the way down.
